A century after the adoption of the 1924 Geneva Declaration of the Rights of the Child, which was succeeded by numerous treaties, child labor and exploitation are increasing globally. The experts on this panel, representing diverse disciplines, will discuss such questions as: Why is child labor on the rise, and what role can international law play in reversing this trend? Which of the norms in relevant declarations and treaties bind all states as customary international law, and how can they be made a reality for exploited children?
