In nine hours of train spotting I saw no less than 20 freights, most of them I was able to film and you can see in this video. I started at Hexham where I saw Brimble Rail's ML-039 inpection unit, followed by three 90 classes on a Pacific National coal. More 90 classes followed, and then some triple TT classes. I also filmed a down Genesse & Wyoming coal with triple XRN classes before heading to Sandgate. At Sandgate the action coninued with more 90 classes and some Aurizon coal services with a mix of 5000 & 6000 classes. In between coal train's I filmed some of the passenger train which run in the region, including the Hunter Railcar's, Endeavour railcar's and the Moree/Armidale Xplorer. I then headed a few stops south where the rail action continues. At Teralba I filmed converted narrow gauge 2800 class, 3221, on an Aurizon driver training run. Next at Cockle Creek I filmed some more Coal train's, and some Intermodal services. First was Pacific National's 4MB4 headed for Brisbane behind NR57, 106 &66. The next two freights filmed happened to cross at the Station. First to arrive was 8214, 8256, 8216 & 8229 with MC96, and going in the opposite direction were CEY002, CEY003 & CEY005. Next was 8224, 8234, 8252 & 8210 with CA66 bound for Kooragang. The last two freights were Intermodal's bound for Brisbane. We had SCT004 & SCT009 on 4MB9 and then NR37 & NR98 on 5SB1. Well worth a trip to this region if you are thinking of going. I hope you enjoy the video :)
