📚 Panel 3 featured a passionate Aboriginal educator, Nicole Williams, who shared her personal journey, hopes for future generations and the legacy she is building through education. The session offered powerful insights into the role of cultural knowledge and learning in shaping strong, proud futures. On 8 July, MRAEL attended the NAIDOC 2025 celebration hosted by Logan City Council. This year marks 50 years of recognising and uplifting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, cultures and resilience. The event was held at the iconic Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct, a space that reflects the spirit of community, history and cultural pride. It was the perfect setting for a day dedicated to honouring legacy and empowering future generations. The 2025 theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy”, encourages us to reflect on the achievements of the past, celebrate the present and look ahead to a future shaped by strong young leaders and community-led vision.
