The process of how urine is formed inside our bodies can be understood by considering the following concept. First of all, when we drink water, it travels from our mouth through the esophagus. After the esophagus, the water enters our stomach. From the stomach, the water is sent to the small intestine. In the small intestine, the water is then transferred to the large intestine. In the large intestine, a significant amount of water is absorbed into our bloodstream. This water circulates within our body and provides the necessary hydration to our cells. Some waste materials present in the cells are also carried by the blood. When this blood reaches our kidneys, the kidneys filter it and produce urine. Inside the kidneys, there are microstructures responsible for filtering the blood, known as nephrons. Each kidney contains up to 1 million nephrons. These nephrons remove excess water and waste materials such as urea from the blood and create urine. Then, this urine travels from the kidneys to the urinary bladder, where it is stored until it is eventually released. Welcome to our educational video on the fascinating process of urine formation! In this video, we will dive deep into the intricate mechanisms of the kidneys and explore how they produce urine. Understanding urine formation is essential for comprehending the vital role of the kidneys in maintaining our body's fluid balance and eliminating waste products.
