IT'S ARRIVED .. New Dapol JHA ARC & Hanson Wagons .. Too Much Drag!!!

A massive thank you goes to Ann and Helen of Great Eastern Models all the way in Norwich for getting the wagons in. These are the long awaited Dapol JHA's in the almost boring ARC and the vibrant Hanson livery. Not only do these wagon amazing but the detail really is stunning. The real party peace of these wagons are the incredible low track force bogies that have been perfectly replicated, with all the brake pads and braking rigging, discs and dampers along with rubber pads are all visible. I bought 5 Hanson wagons to eventually go into one of three jumbo trains that I'm creating and 23 inner ARC wagons with two outer wagons that I bought from Rails Of Sheffield. The ARC wagons are destined to run with a new Cavalex class 56 that I have on order with 18 wagons in the rake. In the running session at the end of this video I was going to run it with my Cavalex class 56 008 in BR Blue but due to so much rolling resistance the loco stalled on the corner, so I swapped it out for my Dapol class 59 noon-sound and place a few more wagons behind it and even the class 59 had wheel slip. Word of warning: So if you want to run these wagons in a full length train, lets say around 18 wagons (I haven't done it as of yet) but possibly add a little oil to the bearings and axles to hopefully free up and reduce an friction that is within the two. It' not like the wagons are stupidly heavy, they come in on the scales at 166 grams. I'll have to keep you posted with this as and when I sort this little issue out. The wagons are amazing items and would looks incredible on a 1990s stone quarry layout.
