This session focuses on supporting teachers for effective inclusion in classrooms. Building on the first part, Dr Gordon Porter, Director of Inclusive Education Canada, discusses the role of collaborative support teams, teacher collaboration, and professional learning to enhance inclusive practices. He highlights key findings from a survey of 5,000 teachers on the supports they need, including time for collaboration and parent engagement. The session also covers the important role of support teachers, how to monitor their time effectively and ways to engage parents in the process. Dr Porter concludes with insights on building a strong monitoring and evaluation system to sustain inclusive education. This session is part of the project ‘Combatting Disparities in Access to Inclusive Education in Italy, Portugal and Spain', funded by the European Union through the Technical Support Instrument (TSI) and carried out by EASNIE in co-operation with the European Commission’s Reform and Investment Task Force (SG REFORM) https://reform-support.ec.europa.eu/i....
