Ingredients – Mushroom Biryani (Rice Cooker) 1 tbsp ghee 1 tbsp oil 1 inch cinnamon stick 4 cloves 4 cardamom pods 1 cup onion (sliced) 1 tbsp ginger–garlic paste 1 cup tomato (chopped) 250 g mushrooms ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp chili powder 2 tsp curd (yogurt) 1 cup rice 1¾ cups water A little mint leaves A little coriander leaves Salt to taste Cooking Method Turn on the rice cooker and add ghee and oil. Let it heat up. Add cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Sauté until they release a nice aroma. Close the rice cooker lid briefly each time after sautéing. Add sliced onions and sauté well until they become soft and slightly golden. Add ginger–garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, and chili powder. Sauté well until the tomatoes become soft. Add curd (yogurt) and mix well. Sauté for a minute. Add the mushrooms, mint leaves, and coriander leaves. Sauté well and close the lid for a short time so the mushrooms cook slightly. Take the rice that has been soaked for 30 minutes, drain the water, and add the rice to the cooker. Gently mix everything once. Pour 1¾ cups of water, add salt to taste, and mix well. Close the rice cooker lid and let it cook until the rice cooker switches to warm mode.
