Intimidated by Onewheel tricks? Me too! The body varial (a.k.a. sex change) has been on my list for a while, but I was too chicken to try it. Finally landed my first one thanks to some pro tips from Racheal Cecil, which I'm sharing below for anyone else who's been avoiding this trick: 1) try it first with the board off. 2) keep your eyes on the front pad the whole time 3) Rotate your shoulders before your hips. Your hips will follow/unwind with your shoulders. 4) I suggest wearing shin guards and wrist guards at least. This is helpful in case the board rolls on you when you jump. 5) if the board is rolling on you a lot I think it’s helpful to put your front foot toes off your pad a little bit and your back foot heel off a little bit kind of counterbalance 6) just send it and be brave Good luck, everyone! I'm going to keep working on this trick and hopefully get it much cleaner throughout the season.
