In wildlife conservation, ‘rewilding’ refers to restoring habitats and creating and connecting corridors between preserved lands. In this important session, writers, experts and activists reach out to rewilding attitudes and to dissolving false boundaries between human life and the nurturing forces of nature. Marc Bekoff, one of the world’s leading animal experts and author of Rewilding Our Hearts, is a former professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado and with Jane Goodall is the cofounder of Ethologists for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Hannah Nordhaus is the author, among other books, of The Beekeepers Lament which examines American honeybee populations, food chains, and rural America through the lens of science and sociology. Linda Hogan is a writer of poetry, fiction and essays whose works on environment include Dwellings: A spiritual History of the Land and Sightings: The Gray Whales’ Mysterious Journey. Moderated by author Julene Bair.
