The low bear exercise is a great exercise because it really challenges the core, legs, and arms, which makes this a full-body exercise. Having control of the entire body and learning how to control or manipulate your spine while moving is critical to learning how to stabilize the abdominal region and spine. Having good core strength is shown to reduce lower back injuries, and improve function overall. The best part about doing this low bear exercise is that you can move and make it dynamic or you can hold it in place. The more directions you move, the harder this exercise is. To make this much harder, you can even drag a weight or heavy sand bag across the turf or floor. This is not shown in the video but it gives you another core strengthening exercise to try.
