Home to Swiss, Edelweiss and Chair. This video contains some stunning picturesque scenery that ZRH Airport is known for but with a wintery twist. That's right, this was filmed in the winter time and even contains some snowy footage! The purpose of my visit to ZRH was to capture some more footage of the A340s from different angles, as they are very close to being retired and replaced by the A350s awaiting delivery to Swiss and Edelweiss. I was also very fortunate to share some of this trip with my good friend Matt from @HDMelbourneAviation where we spotted and filmed together during the cold, gruelling winter days! Check out his perspective on his channel! Zurich Airport (ZRH) is a great destination for plane spotting, offering some excellent locations to capture aircraft in action. One of the best places to get a panoramic view is the Observation Deck on the third floor of Terminal A, where you can see planes on the runway and taxiing on the tarmac. Another popular spot is near the end of Runway 34, also known as Spotting Location 34/16, where you can catch planes during takeoff and landing. For a different perspective, Zurich Kloten Village provides a fantastic vantage point of aircraft on their final approach to Runway 16. The airport is home to a wide variety of international airlines, including Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), Lufthansa, Emirates, British Airways, and American Airlines, making it an exciting location for aviation enthusiasts looking to capture different carriers in action. The accessibility of these viewing spots, combined with the diversity of air traffic, makes Zurich Airport a top choice for plane spotters.
