Cannibalism in puffadder shysharks?

On a dive at Long Beach, Cape Town, I noticed numerous puffadder shysharks (Haploblepharus edwardsii) milling about - and it seemed they were hunting, as the larger klipfish were following them as well. Then I noticed an adult with a juvenile in its mouth - what seemed like a recent catch as it was trying to get it down! I followed it a bit, and thought it interesting that it seemed to shield its meal from me by keeping its left side facing me. Maybe it was just pure chance this adult caught a juvenile, but I never knew that they might show cannibalistic tendencies!
