GM18 Final drive, Strip, Clean and Rebuild. Unit arrived with us as customer reported a 'clunking' noise from inside the unit. Customer carried out some checks and on removing the plug from the lid he could see there was some damage inside. On stripping the unit our engineer identified that the Reamer bolts had worked their way loose resulting in the Planetary gears and the Sun gear becoming unsecure and damaged. The unit was then fully reconditioned replacing all damaged/worn parts along with bearings and seals as standard. The hydraulic motor was checked and was completely cleaned through the cylinder block and valve plate was lapped back into 100% contact and replaced with all bearings and seal as standard. Unit now back to OEM standards and issued with 12 months written warranty.
