Danzig’s influence of R&B groups from the 50’s-60’s is at the forefront in the chorus of Some Kinda Hate. They took punk and incorporated influences of R&B and blues along with horror themes from cinema and created their own definitive subgenre. Additionally, they are at the helm of one of the most significant examples of iconography within music with the Fiend Skull. Which, I believe, is as recognized within the same category as Wu-Tang's W. I taught myself how to play guitar using Misfits records circa 2004. Without them, I definitely would not be in the professional position that I am in today.
