On the 29th of March 2025, London bus route 343 was changed. The route was cut from Aldgate Bus Station. It now terminates at Tower Gateway Station (Minories). This one stop cutback was overshadowed by the 19 Heritage Day and R6/B14 changes, Which all happened on the same day. Passengers travelling between Tower Gateway and Aldgate Bus Station, Should walk for 5 minutes or use routes 42, 78 or 100. Route 343 serves Tower Gateway Station, Tower Hill, Tower Bridge, Unicorn Theatre, London Bridge Station, Southwark Street, Union Street, Borough Station, Inner London Crown Court, Newington Causeway, Elephant & Castle Station, Elephant Park, Larcom Street, Balfour Street, East Street, Alsace Road, Albany Road, Burgess Park, Sedgmoor Place, Southampton Way Estate, Peckham Road, Harris Academy, Peckham Library, Clayton Road, The Aylesham Centre, Peckham Rye Station, Nigel Road, Peckham Rye, Solomon's Passage, Rye Hill Park, Stuart Road, Surrey Road, Merttins Road, St Norbert Road, Turnham Road, Brockill Crescent, St Asaph Road, Avignon Road, Kitto Road, Arbuthnot Road, Ommaney Road and New Cross. The 343 runs every 6 to 12 minutes. The route runs daily, from 05:15 until 00:40. It is 7 miles (11 km) long. A full journey on the route takes 40 to 55 minutes. Route 343 is operated by Go-Ahead London. The route runs from New Cross (NX) garage. It uses 23 ADL Enviro400 MMC hybrids. The 343 started in February 2001. It ran between New Cross and London Bridge. It is a renumbering of the P3. The 343 was rerouted in Borough in September 2002. The route passed from London Central to Travel London in 2006. It used Wright Eclipse Gemini 1s. The route passed back to London Central in 2018.
