For devotees of Krishna in Bhiwandi the nearest Hare Krishna temple was Juhu, which is a minimum two-hour distance either way and so the thought of having a temple in Bhiwandi came up. Iskcon Bhiwandi started as an earnest prayer in 2015 when one noble soul offered the devotees his storefront to chant. Soon this led to an apartment and in 2017 another devotee of the Lord helped purchase the bungalow, which today is the Sri Sri Radha Madhav Temple. On 19th November 2019, in the holy month of Kartik, the deities of Srimati Radha Rani and Lord Madhav were installed along with Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra and Subhadra as also, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
