A Brookdale man has been arrested and charged with 160 offences following allegations he orchestrated an elaborate disability invoice scam that defrauded the National Disability Insurance Scheme of nearly $200,000. Police allege John Sutherland posed as a disability services coordinator, submitting fraudulent invoices while also engaging in identity theft, corporate account fraud, and luxury vehicle hire using false documents. The arrest occurred during a dramatic police chase that ended at a BP petrol station in Baldivis, with six people charged in total as part of the alleged criminal network.
