A little bit of Cambridge and Cherry Hinton History filmed over 35 years ago by my father, also David Reed. He remembers that there were protests at the time, because the city council planned to only install half gates. The public protested that with a large infants school adjacent to the railway line, half gates were not suitable and instead successfully argued that full gates were needed. This raw footage is a wonderful memory of Cherry Hinton in the old days. Do you know anyone in the film, does your car pass by and.......how little Health and Safety existed in 1987.
