In February 2026, INUA KIKE successfully conducted the final two-day Parenting for Respectability (PfR) training for Cohort Four of 30 parents and caregivers in Korogocho, officially marking the close of Phase One of the PfR programme under the She Rises Beyond Violence Project. This video captures highlights from the training held on 4th and 5th February 2026, bringing together parents and caregivers committed to building safe, nurturing, and respectful home environments for children. Module One: Bonding and Attachment Parents reflected on their roles, shared lived experiences, and learned practical skills to strengthen communication, emotional connection, and supportive parenting at home. Module Two: Positive Discipline Caregivers explored non-violent and respectful approaches to discipline, learned to manage difficult behaviour, set clear and consistent limits, and practiced positive alternatives to punishment — reinforcing that discipline is about guidance, not harm. Phase One Impact Through Phase One of the PfR programme: 108 parents and caregivers have been trained Directly supporting the wellbeing of 225 girls and young women Positively impacting all children under their care within their households As we prepare for Phase Two, the same caregivers will continue with Modules Three and Four, deepening their skills in positive parenting and family strengthening. This programme is part of a broader partnership supported by International Justice Mission Deutschland e.V. under the She Rises Beyond Violence Project. At INUA KIKE, we believe that strong parenting builds strong families — and strong families build safer communities. #SheRisesBeyondViolence #ParentingForRespectability #PositiveParenting #PositiveDiscipline #SafeFamilies #EndSGBV #INUAKIKE #Korogocho #StrongFamiliesStrongCommunities #CommunityProtection
