Tunnel kiln for ceramic sanitary-ware firing, formed by an open channel; in the centre of such channel, on a track-way, a load-holding car moves. The load-holding car moves inside the kiln passing through sections having different temperatures; the dwelling of ceramic material at given temperatures for given time interval causes irreversible chemical-physical changes in the material structure, called “firing”. The temperature-time diagram is called “firing curve”; while the time taken by the material to cross the kiln is called “cycle”.
