In this workshop, Jennifer Shields discusses the fascinating research behind Ego State Therapy and getting to know the “parts” of yourself to improve wellbeing this holiday season. Through the lens of Ego State Therapy she explores themes of why people can get triggered by time off of work, family gatherings, and gloomy weather. This event is part of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work Alumni Association’s 2021-2022 Alumni Series. About Jennifer Shields: Jennifer Shields is an Ontario-based therapist who supports clients with mastering emotional regulation, processing past trauma, and improving relationships. Jennifer’s approach applies principles from Ego State Therapy, Hypnosis, Yoga, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to support clients to meet their therapeutic goals. Jennifer is passionate about sharing practical tools to boost mental health through corporate/organizational wellness workshops.
