She is responsible for monitoring and managing the populations of Wild Turkey, Rruffed Grouse, and Northern Bobwhite in North Carolina. Topic: Let's explore this fascinating yet often overlooked history of this iconic bird - the Wild Turkey, which is one of North America's greatest conservation success stories. In this presentation, we will examine what caused the drastic decline in Wild Turkey populations and the long winding road to recovery and beyond. Hannah will discuss how turkeys are monitored in North Carolina and the current challenges the Wild Turkey faces today.
