REINSTALLING THE FILTERS Before putting the filters back in the unit, check their orientation. The bottom filter or the one on the right in the video, does not need a spring rod. This rod ensures that each filter has a contact point so that the electrical current can pass from one cell to another. Make sure the next filter has a spring rod positioned to have a contact point with the previous filter and repeat the exercise if the unit has additional filters. Once the filters are properly in place, close the door, then open the disconnector. Don't forget to also turn the main circuit breaker back on to restore power and allow the electrostatic precipitator to operate. 1-Close the breaker and follow the lockout procedures. 2-Close the disconnectors. 3-Wear PPE (gloves and glasses). 4-Open the door and release the remaining current by using the screwdriver by the insulated end and touch the rod and edge of the filter at the same time. 5-Remove the pre-filters. 6-Remove the cell filters. 7-Soak the pre-filters and rinse them. 8-Soak the cell filters. If there is a significant accumulation of grease apparent after soaking, clean the inside of the cells with the brush provided for this purpose, then rinse the filter. 9-Completely dry the ceramic isolators using a dry cloth. 10-Clean the ceramic isolators located in the doors and dry them completely using a dry cloth. 11-Inspect the filters before reinserting them. If there are signs of damage that could cause malfunctions, they must be addressed. The most common issue would be that a cell's rod is not centered. If possible, you can straighten it by adjusting at the base of the rod. 12-Replace the cell filters ensuring that the spring rods are correctly placed. 13-Replace the pre-filters. 14-Turn on the disconnectors and the main breaker.
