Happy New Year! :D Starting off 2021 with something a bit different, I've decided to make a new portion of the show called 'Death on the High Seas', which documents the history of famous sea battles and shipwrecks, and to start, I've chosen an often forgotten battle for survival between two ships in the vast Indian Ocean. While not the grandest confrontation during World War II, the mutual destruction of the Leander-class cruiser HMAS Sydney, and German Auxiliary Cruiser Komoran, takes its place in history due to the unexpected though pyric victory of the latter, despite all odds going in favour of the Sydney.
