The mantles on my neighbor's gas lamp were broken a couple of weeks ago, and what better excuse to film an outdoor tinkering video?!? Join me as I give you a glimpse of our neighborhood on a recent summer morning, complete with a short still-picture tour of some other gas lamps on our street (not exactly working gas lamps, as you'll see). Then we'll replace the mantles on my neighbor's lamp as well as my own, and relight each of them. Please note that this video contains outdoor neighborhood ambient sounds throughout (see list below). These are left in tact to give you a more immersive, "looking over my shoulder" viewer experience.
