CAMP LEJEUNE LAWSUIT Camp Lejeune is a United States Marine Corps base located in Jacksonville, North Carolina. From the 1950s to the 1980s, the water supply at Camp Lejeune was contaminated with toxic chemicals, including trichloroethylene (TCE), perchloroethylene (PCE), benzene, and vinyl chloride. These chemicals were released from numerous sources, including on-base dry cleaners, vehicle maintenance areas, and waste disposal sites. It is estimated that between 1953 and 1987, as many as one million people, including Marines, their families, civilian employees, and contractors, may have been exposed to the contaminated water. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has identified eight diseases that may be associated with exposure to the chemicals, including certain types of cancers, neurological disorders, and reproductive disorders. There are certainly more than eight. The contaminated water at Camp Lejeune is considered one of the worst examples of environmental pollution on a military installation in U.S. history. Congress standing veterans (some might say a rare occurrence) passed a law to allow victims to bring a Camp Lejeune water contamination lawsuit for compensation for the harm done to them or their loved ones. https://www.millerandzois.com/camp-le... CAMP LEJEUNE CONTAMINATION LAWSUIT Studies have shown that exposure to this contaminated water while living or working at Camp Lejeune caused thousands to develop cancer, birth defects, and other conditions. Sadly, the law in North Carolina had blocked these Camp Lejeune victims from bringing lawsuits. Now, there is a new federal law that will enable victims of water contamination at Camp Lejeune to file claims and get financial compensation for both injuries and wrongful death. Our national mass tort lawyers are now accepting new Camp Lejeune water contamination lawsuits from victims who lived or worked at the base between 1957 and 1987 and were subsequently diagnosed with leukemia bladder cancer kidney cancer liver, cancer Parkinson's disease non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma multiple myeloma anemia myelodysplastic syndromes But this is not all the harms and deaths caused at Camp Lejeune. This contaminated water caused so many other illnesses, sicknesses, and deaths.
