Join me on a Solo 9-day, 2,500-mile ADV motorcycle expedition across some of the most iconic Backcountry Discovery Routes in the American West. This loop begins and ends in Leadville, Colorado, climbing high mountain passes, crossing desert canyons, and weaving through alpine wilderness across Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and back again. This is true ADV riding—remote terrain, moto camping under the stars, rugged tracks, unpredictable weather, and endless views. 🗺️ Route Overview Day 1: Leadville → Alpine Loop (Lake City, CO) Day 2: North along the UTBDR, Four Corners, Butler wash to Moab. Day 3: Continuing north along the UTBDR from Moab to the middle of no where in 106º HEAT. Day 4: San Rafael Swell to the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest east of Salt Lake City. Day 5: Wasatch Mountains north to the Wyoming border. Day 6: Into Idaho for a beer at Grand Teton Brewing. Day 7: The back roads into Yellowstone National Park, across Wyoing to the WYBDR. Day 8: South along the WYBDR,riding the Great Basin and back into Colorado. Day 9: COBDR and ride all the way back to Leadville, CO—closing the full loop.
