In this video, I continue transforming an older wood circle paint pour into a resin geode. This is Part 2 of the series, where the details really start to take shape. I begin by outlining the crushed mirror lines from the first layer using a chrome marker to add definition and highlight the natural flow of the piece. I briefly tested a pink marker along one section, but it didn’t feel right — so I adjusted the plan and added a larger crushed mirror pile instead. That change ended up being a great decision and added more balance to the design. Once the surface was fully flooded with resin, I tested silver alcohol ink in select areas along the crushed mirror rather than applying it everywhere. This created a softer silver shimmer that enhances the geode effect without overpowering the artwork. This layer will cure for at least 24 hours before moving on to the next resin layer. This project shows how resin geode art often evolves as you work — trusting your instincts, making small adjustments, and letting the piece guide the process. 🎨 Materials & techniques used in this video: – Resin on a wood round – Crushed mirror glass – Chrome paint marker – Silver alcohol ink – Flood coat resin layer 📌 Watch the full series to see how this older paint pour continues to transform into a finished resin geode.
