O Mensch, bewein' dein' Sünde gross is een Lutherse hymne voor het seizoen van Passie. De rector en cantor Sebald Heyden schreef de tekst in 1530 op de melodie Matthias Greitter (1525). De twee coupletten die tot op de dag van vandaag worden gezongen, vormden oorspronkelijk het kader voor een 23 strofe meditatie over de Passie in de vorm van een lied. Daarin vertelt Sebald Heyden het passieverhaal van Jezus. De eerste strofe formuleert als voorwoord de verlossende betekenis van het werk en de dood van Jezus en nodigt, in overeenstemming met de oude interpretatietraditie, uit tot "weldadige rouw" over de eigen zonden en het lijden van Christus. De laatste strofe vat de sensus moralis samen, het praktische gevolg van het lijden van Christus voor de gelovigen: dankbaarheid, liefde, vrees voor God. Elke strofe bestaat uit twaalf jambische regels - acht in vier en vier in drie - met het dubbele rijmschema [aabccb], waarbij a en c mannelijke rijm is en b vrouwelijk. Deze uitgestrekte vorm biedt ruimte aan verhalende tekst. ORGEL ABRAHAM MEERE vervaardigde in 1809 te Epe een eenklaviers instrument met aangehangen pedaal. In 1901 voegde Proper een onderpositief toe. In 1928 realiseerde N.A. van Dam een zelfstandig pneumatisch pedaal. In 1940 bouwde B. Pels & Zn. een nieuw orgel met electropneumatische kegelladen achter het oude front. Een deel van het aanwezige pijpwerk werd opnieuw gebruikt. De firma Gebr. Reil maakte in 1994 een nieuw orgel in Meere-stijl, waarbij de dispositie van het Hoofdwerk grotendeels werd hersteld naar de situatie van 1809. Het pijpwerk voor het Bovenwerk is grotendeels afkomstig uit 1803 uit de Grote kerk te Vianen. Ook het zelfstandig pedaal bevat enig pijpwerk van Meere, afkomstig uit Vianen. In 1928, N.A. van Dam an independent pneumatic pedal. In 1940 B. Pels & Zn. a new organ with electro-pneumatic action charging behind the old front. Some of the existing pipework was reused. In 1994, organ makers Reil made a new Meere-style organ, in which the disposition of the Hoofdwerk was largely restored to the situation of 1809. The pipework for the Bovenwerk largely comes from 1803 from the Grote Kerk in Vianen. The independent pedal also contains some pipework by Meere, from Vianen.
