Polish Nut Cake (Tort Orzechowy)! HOLIDAY RECIPE! Want to make a moist Polish pecan cake? In this video I show you an easy holiday recipe with simple ingredients! Ideal for a cozy tea party. Don't miss it! Recipe: 5 egg whites. A pinch of salt. Beat until foamy. 150g sugar. Add gradually in small batches. Beat until sugar dissolves and soft peaks form. 5 egg yolks. Add gradually, mixing each time until smooth. 30g vegetable oil. 150g all-purpose flour. 1.5 teaspoons baking powder. Mix in 1/2 of the dry ingredients. Mix gently from bottom to top to keep eggs fluffy. Sift the remaining dry ingredients. Mix gently from bottom to top to keep eggs fluffy. 120 g chopped roasted walnuts. Baking tray with a diameter of 23-24 cm. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool to room temperature. Cut off the top layer. Grind into crumbs. Cut into 3 equal parts. Pour boiling water over 200 g prunes. Leave for 10-15 minutes. Dry the prunes with a paper towel. Chop it. 150 g roasted walnuts. Chop it. 900 g high-fat sour cream. 3-4 tablespoons of powdered sugar (be sure to adjust to taste). 20 g vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract to taste). Mix until smooth. Assemble the cake as shown in the video. Leave in the refrigerator for several hours. My cake cooled for 1 hour. Sprinkle with crumbs.
