10 Year Streamiversary! Ghosts 'n Goblins: Victory!

Originally streamed Feb 3, 2024. It seems like a good thing to do, so let's celebrate 10 years of streaming on Twitch! Next, let's replay another of the first games I ever streamed. I may have streamed this on Twitch even before Faxanadu, although I have no record of that stream. And even before Twitch, I remember streaming this on the old site livestream.com. This has always been a favorite of mine to stream due to the fact that I know how to beat it in a relatively short time, and I enjoy the game. I played this a lot as a kid, and could never get past stage 3; but I also never knew the locations of secret armors. Knowing about that, and with some practice, I am able to beat this game as an adult. I find this game to have a lot of charm. For an early Micronics console port, it's surprisingly solid, plays decently. Stage 2 and 3 can be difficult but knowing the armor and extra time locations helps tremendously, and the game gets easier from there until you reach stage 6. And of course you have to know about the tricks with using the cross. This is one of those games where you have realistic jump physics, which is to say you can't magically change your direction in the air. But in this game in particular you can use that to your advantage by executing turn around jump attacks, which are very very helpful on the difficult Red Arremers. As tough as this game is, it's nothing compared to the Capcom's original arcade game which is about 10x harder. I know, because I have beaten that game too, and it was one of the hardest games for me to struggle through. This game, on the other hand, is a fun game to casually play through and enjoy, and I'll probably play it again many more times.
