MUSLIM COMMUNITY URGED TO SHARE IFTAR, GIVE BACK DURING RAMADAN As the Muslim community continues to observe the holy month of Ramadan, religious leaders and community members have called for a renewed culture of sharing, unity, and charity—especially through breaking the fast together. Speaking after an iftar (breaking of the fast) event organized at Nadir Preparatory School, the school’s director, Sheikh Kule Hamza Twaha, urged Muslims to embrace the spirit of togetherness by sharing meals not only with fellow Muslims, but also with non-Muslims. He emphasized that such acts strengthen bonds of love and care within the community where they co-exist with non-Muslims regardless of their religions. He called on Muslims to adopt lasting behavioral change during Ramadan—by increasing acts of kindness, generosity, and social responsibility. In the same spirit, other Muslims have also stepped forward to support the needy. Among them is Hamdan Khan, who has been distributing food items to vulnerable individuals and families every Friday of Ramadan. His initiative is aimed at helping those who struggle to afford basic meals, while also seeking reward and acceptance from Allah. Community members expressed gratitude for his continued support, noting that his generosity has become a familiar and appreciated gesture every Ramadan. Leaders and residents alike hope that such initiatives will inspire more people to extend a helping hand, foster unity, and uphold the true spirit of Ramadan—faith, compassion, and community.
