These are amazingly good cookies. I know you'll love them and the story behind why they're called 250 dollar cookies. Box 44 Choc, Al. 36254 1 cup butter (do not substitute - I used salted butter) 1 cup dark brown sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2-1/2 cups oats ground into flour consistency..or close to it OR if you prefer, roughly ground (your choice) 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 12 oz. bag of semi sweet chocolate morsels 1-4 oz. milk chocolate bar ground or grated 1-1/2 cups chopped nuts of your choice (Macadamia nuts would also be good....but more expensive!) Preheat oven to 375 F Cream together butter and both sugars. Add the eggs & vanilla and combine mixing well. Finely grind the oats in a blender or food processor (measure 1st) In a separate bowl combine both flours, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet mixture in your mixer. Add the grated chocolate bar along with the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the chopped nuts. Mix until JUST COMBINED. Drop by heaping tablespoons on a greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool 5 or 10 minutes before taking them off the cookie sheet to put on a rack to fully cool. Makes 4 to 4-1/2 dozen cookies. Enjoy!!!
