This month several fish that have never been seen on this camera have been spotted. Those include a Mahogany snapper, midnight parrotfish, a couple different crabs, and a questionable sennet or a guaguanche. The rainbow parrotfish, rainbow runner, a school of moonfish, sharpnose puffer, and hammerhead finally appeared. But the real stars this month were the snook! A ridiculous amount of them all fast and frisky, shooting around. #FishermanDream! As DFB Fish we are proud residents of the beautiful and vast world beneath the waves. We want to remind you of our shared responsibility to protect and preserve our ocean home. The ocean is not just our home, it’s a critical part of the Earth's ecosystem that sustains all life on our planet. Unfortunately, human activities such as pollution, overfishing, and climate change have put the health of the ocean at risk. I urge all of you to do your part to protect the ocean. This can be as simple as properly disposing of trash, reducing plastic use, and supporting sustainable fishing practices. I am grateful for the love and support we receive from humans who appreciate the ocean's beauty and bounty. But it's time to take it up a notch and take responsibility for protecting and preserving our ocean. Let's make a commitment to take actions that support a healthy ocean ecosystem, not only for ourselves but for all the creatures that call it home and for the generations of humans to come. Thank you for watching!
