Welcome back to Year 10 (1935) of our 100-year journey! This was a year of two halves: finishing our massive fleet modernization and immediately pivoting into heavy infrastructure expansion. Before we get into the build, I have a quick update on the project settings. I realized I made a mistake with the game clock in previous years, so I have officially fixed it in this episode. Moving forward, the series will strictly follow the 1 Hour = 1 In-Game Year pace. My apologies for the oversight—we are now back on track! In this episode: Completing the Modernization: The first part of the year was dedicated to finishing our fleet-wide upgrade. Every single train in our empire has now been successfully converted to the Chaney "Jubilee" steam engines. With the old Kirby Paul Tanks finally retired, our entire 200+ train fleet is now running at modern 1930s speeds. Industrial Expansion: Once the fleet was sorted, I moved to boost our production. I connected Forest #5 and Forest #6 to our primary Sawmill mainline. This injection of timber ensures our Goods supply chain remains at maximum capacity to fund our upcoming projects. The Left-Side Upgrade: With the new resources flowing, I began the massive task of upgrading our mainline. I am focusing specifically on the left side, converting it from a 2-track to a 3-track system. Junction Refit: I spent significant time "neatening" our junctions and smoothing out the merges to ensure our heavy traffic flows more smoothly and loses less momentum. Signal Hygiene: I’ve been meticulously moving Railway Signals to create perfect block spacing for our massive volume of trains. The Level Corridor: I performed essential terraforming to level the ground along the expansion. Keeping the tracks flat is the best way to ensure our Jubilees don't slow down on inclines. Strategic Maintenance: As I work on the rails, I am adding more Train Depots directly into the new layout to make servicing our huge fleet as efficient as possible. We are playing Vanilla, No-Mods, and No Fast-Forwarding.
