The AIM Society presents "Liminal" as part of the Cape Cultural Collective's Rhythms of Freedom event. Liminal is a duet that explores the threshold between past and future, self and other, presence and absence. Rooted in the quiet tension of transition, the piece inhabits the “in-between” — a space where identities shift, bodies negotiate new terrain, and time feels both stretched and suspended. Through movement, the dancers navigate the uncertainty of these moments, echoing the cyclical nature of change, resistance, and surrender. The work invites audiences to reflect on their own experiences of liminality — those deeply human moments of transformation where everything feels unsettled but full of potential. Rather than presenting answers, Liminal opens a space for shared questioning and dialogue: What happens when we find ourselves caught in a liminal space, and how does solitude shape us there?
