It's no secret that I've been obsessed with film photography lately. My Pentax 6x7 travels with me into the field more often than any of my other cameras lately. The photos showcased in this video may show you exactly why. In this video, I wanted to share a collection of images I took with Fuji Velvia and Kodak Portra that could be some of my favorite photos I've ever taken during sunrise in the Snake River canyon area of Southwestern Idaho. Part of the joy may have been anticipating what I would see when I received the film scans back from my developer. The other part may have been just how film is able to capture a scene in such a special way. The area is also desolate and photogenic, so that also helps.
