🔥 Let’s make a Manica! 🛡️✂️ In this video, I’ll show you step by step how to craft a historically accurate Manica – from raw materials to the finished piece. 🧵 Materials needed: ✔️ Thick linen fabric ✔️ Waxed thread ✔️ Cattle leather ✔️ Stuffing wool We start by cutting the linen fabric and marking 5 cm spaced lines, which are then sewn to create the characteristic “cento” pattern – a style seen in many ancient mosaics, such as the famous Zliten Mosaic. 🏺 Next, we fill the rows with stuffing wool and reinforce the edges. The glove is first sewn with a basting stitch, turned inside out, stitched again, and filled. For extra stability, we add reinforcement stitches in key areas. The hand attachments are made of durable cattle leather and securely stitched. Finally, the edges of the Manica are sewn together to form the sleeve.
