Hoover Legacy U5053-930 Upright Vacuum

This is my Hoover Legacy upright vacuum (from 1993), model U5093-930, that I bought on Ebay. This is the 5th Hoover Elite in my collection, and I've been on the lookout for a Dimension upright since it was my childhood vacuum, but as for now, this is the closest I can get to that, and it's practically the same as the Dimension, the only thing different is that it lacks the upper tool storage, but does takes larger bags. This does come with an on board hose mounted on the side of the machine that's permanently connected into the head of the vacuum, and it is a flexible hose, and the suction is controlled by the carpet height selector, when it's switched over to the 5th position, the suction going to the head, is then diverted to the hose. It does have a scent tablet mounted on the top of the bag compartment, which is useless because the scent is long gone. It features a 7.3 amp motor with direct air design and takes Hoover Type A bags (this example is running the Hepa bags that are available but a big pricey but worth it in the filtration and increased performance). The suction is not the best (especially in tool mode), but the airflow is fantastic, and the agitation is amazing. My only complaints about this machine is that it's quite loud when in use, and can sometimes be very vulnerable when using since it's entirely made out of plastic (meaning if you suck up something metal, you'd run the risk of damaging the fan, and/or the housing). Overall, I absolutely love this vacuum and is certainly better than anything Hoover makes today.
