If you want to watch the laryngitis infested vlog (disclaimer: I did wear a mask) from 2023 to learn about the TTTM Sapa (Vietnamese town 10 km south of Prague), the Vysehrad, the Tancici dum, and the Narodni museum, check out the video in the link below: • I Visited Prague For Summer 2023 (Par... Prague is a city with 1.4 million people and 8.5 million visitors in 2017, making it the largest (by far) in the Czech Republic, and one of the largest in Central Europe. With its dope architecture in the Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Art Nouveau, and eclectic styles which makes Prague one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, I love visiting Prague. In fact, this is my 9th time visiting Prague in my life span (I was born in the early 2000s, and prior to this, I visited Prague in 2023, 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012, 2009, 2006, and 2003). What's more fascinating was that my father Bac Si Van Quang Tan (who was born in 1950, more than 50 years before me), studied at Charles University (Central Europe's oldest university) for his Master's in Public health, between 1974 and 1976. He was born in Hanoi and have studied in at Moscow for a medical degree between 1968-74 after being recognised as the top student at a provincial school at or close to Hanoi. There are tons of attractions, including the Powder House Tower, the Old Town (includes the Astronomical Clock, Church of our lady before Tyn), the Tancici dum (Dancing House), the Vysehrad, the Narodni national museum, the Charles Bridge, the Lennon Wall, the Prague Castle/St Vitus Cathedral, the Petrin Lookout Tower, as well as TTTM Sapa, if you crave Vietnamese food. If you are planning to stay in Prague for 3 days, the Prague Card for 3000 CZK would be nice because you have free public transportation and attractions, because Prague is quite expensive nowadays. I could get a modest dish for 5-10 EUR and a reasonable Czech and Vietnamese dish for 10-20 EUR, attraction prices are quite reasonable, and some could be expensive. Public transportation is still relatively affordable (and high tech) at 30 CZK (1.30 USD) for a single ride and 120 CZK (5.19 USD) for a 24 hour pass. Churches are typically free to enter, and attractions typically range between 190 CZK to about 450 CZK (about 8.22 to 19.46 USD) which some discrepancies). EEA citizens and/or students under the age of 26 (like me even though I graduated from college) get discounts. Unfortunately during winter, hours may be shorter than during summer. However, the weather is quite reasonable in March, at 10-15 degrees C, but the day I was in Prague happened to be colder and rainier. I visited Prague in May of 2022, and it was rainy and 15 degrees C. I paid $40 a night for the Residences Tabor hotel, which is slightly out of the centre but close to the Zizkov Tower, and you could find some hotels for 55-60 which are of similar caliber, closer to the centre and metro access.
