Hello! This video is the first in a series for a new project I have started, and over the coming weeks I will release more videos to show my progress! I hope you like the new format - it means I can show more of what I'm doing, but still keep the videos nice and brief - let me know what you think in the comments below! This is the start of my experiment to make a beetle using embroidery. I'm excited to see how this will eventually turned out (as well as nervous about the whole thing turning out as I'm imagining...). Out came my embroidery hoop, thread and wire to make the first elements of the beetle. I really like how it turned out and I hope you do too. Yes, you read that right - wire! I'm attempting a 3D embroidered image. It's been fun to try something new. Let me know what you think of the progress so far, and what kinds of images would you like me to try these techniques on in the future?
