Taken on 7/13/23. Footage of 2009 Orion VII NG Hybrid 4209 operating on the Q66 from Queens Plaza in Long Island City, to 39th Avenue & Main Street in Flushing. The Q66 is based out of College Point Depot, which exclusively uses New Flyer C40LFs in regular service. However it appears that College Point was short and had to borrow some buses from LaGuardia Depot. Usually Xcelsior XD40s are loaned, but not this time. The Q66 route is proposed to be modified as part of the Queens Bus Redesign. Currently, it is proposed to be streamlined between Queens Plaza and 42nd Street, operating along Northern Boulevard. The route would also be extended along Jackson Avenue and Borden Avenue to end at the LIC waterfront at Hunters Point South Park, by the NYC Ferry stop. This proposal is subject to change. A more finalized version of the proposed new Queens bus network will apparently come out sometime this summer, before Labor Day.
