https://www.waltonsinc.com/grilleye-p... Since the posting of this video, there have been firmware updates to the GrilleyePro Plus that have made connectivity an issue. When they added "CLOUD" accessibility some units seem to have lost any ability to communicate with the smartphone application. Everything below was true 2 years ago but has since stopped being accurate. Because of that, unless we can get ours fixed when working with their support we will be taking this positive review down. This is an upgraded version of the Grilleye Bluetooth thermometer that we reviewed in the past. That thermometer ended up being our main probe thermometer for most of our outdoor cooking and smoking and with the new an improved features of the Pro Plus I have a feeling we will be switching over to this one. The Pro Plus has ports for up to 8 probe thermometers and yes the probes that you had for your Grilleye Smart Bluetooth Thermometer will work with this as well. As you plug in more probes the screen automatically splits and displays all of the probes current temperature, target temperature and the preset or custom name you can apply to it. It also comes with these two clips to turn any probe thermometer into an ambient thermometer which is a great carryover feature from the original. Once a probe has met it's target temperature it will trigger an alarm on your smart phone telling you it is done. I had the App open in the background and bluetooth headphones in and it stopped what I was listening to and alerted me that my food was done. Once I hit Dismiss the alarm went away and I was able to go back and remove the pork loin whenever I wanted to. The back of the unit has a magnetic mount to keep it safely secured to your grill or smoker and you can rotate the display portion to work around any glare issues that you might have. The Pro Plus has an internal battery that you charge through an included USB chord. A full charge will take about 2 1/2 hours and can run as long as 48 hours on a single charge. If you forgot to charge it between uses the unit can be used while charging. Downloading the new App from the App store was simple. Pairing it to your phone via the bluetooth was automatic and setting it up for wifi is all taken care of through the app on your phone, just select the network, enter the password and you are connected.
