Homemade Banoffee Pie, a classic banoffee pie recipe. Delicious caramel and bananas on a crisp biscuit base topped with cream. This banoffee pie recipe is easy to make and a delicious dessert. Here is a list of the ingredients and method for this recipe. 200g / 7oz Digestive Biscuits 0.35 90g / 2.8oz Butter 0.76 2 Bananas 0.31 75g / 2.6oz Brown Sugar 0.27 75g / 2.6oz Butter 0.57 I tin Condensed milk 1.00 150ml Double Cream 0.57 Total 3.83 8 Slices 0.47 Crush the digestive biscuits to a fine crumb. Melt 90g of the butter and mix into the biscuits crumbs. Line the bottom of a 20cm flan tin with the mixture and place in the fridge to set. Melt the other 75g of butter and combine with the brown sugar. Pour in the condensed milk and stir over a low heat until the mixture becomes a dark brown and begins to thicken. Pour this over the biscuit base and return to the fridge to set for two hours . Chop the bananas and place on top of the caramel. Whip up the cream to stiff peaks and spread over the bananas. You could then finish with a dusting of cocoa powder or some greeted chocolate if you want. There it is banoffee pie from scratch, no baking required.
