OB Delivers Emergency Food Kits to Flooded Community

In mid-July, a terrible storm hit Buchanan County in Northern Virginia. Dangerous floodwaters took residents by surprise and left a trail of damaged or destroyed homes in their wake. More than 100 homes were affected, and a quarter of those have been completely destroyed or rendered uninhabitable. Marcella is one of many Buchanan County residents who witnessed the devastation firsthand as the storm ravaged her community—including the homes of her family members and co-worker. Soon after the storm, however, Operation Blessing sent teams to offer critical supplies and volunteer aid. Thanks to the help of faithful partners, Emergency Meal Kits were quickly distributed to families in immediate need. These meal kits are purposefully designed to last for days and do not require water or electricity to prepare.
