Add the flour, cornstarch and butter to a bowl Incorporate the butter to create a coarse crumb consistency Add the milk in small amount while mixing to form a medium firm dough Transfer to a work surface Shape into a dough ball Flatten and roll out to ¼ inch in thickness Cut into 8 circles Place one spoon of filling on the pastry dough Brush the another piece with milk around the edges Place the it on top of the filled pastry dough Press to seal around the edges Arranged it on a baking tray Continue the process with the remaining pastry dough Insert an opening on the surface Arranged in a sheet pan Continue the process with the remaining pastry dough Brush the surface with cream or egg wash Sprinkle sugar on the surface Place the pan on the middle rack of the oven Bake in a preheated oven for 25 minutes Or until they are lightly golden brown around the edges and finish. Cool on a wire rack Serve and enjoy!
