Walk With Me on THAYER STREET in PROVIDENCE~Food, Shops & Avon Theatre

Come with me to Thayer Street in Providence, RI! Thayer Street is located on the East Side of Providence right near Brown University. The street is a unique blend of good eats, shops and the historic Avon Theatre. This street is typically packed with people looking to try all types of ethnic foods and unique shops. The street is popular not only for the college kids from the several nearby colleges and universities but all age groups and backgrounds. I especially like the fact that most businesses are small businesses. If you enjoy ethnic foods, there is no shortage of it on Thayer Street. You can find Mediterranean, Mexican, Japanese, Indian, American fare, Italian and pretty much every other type of cuisine. Many of the shops are unique and trendy and of course boasts the historic Avon Theatre. Avon Theatre is the iconic landmark on the street and shows many independent films that are not well known in the mainstream. However, Taylor Swift Eras tour was showing. In this video I walk the street and show you many of the restaurants and shops on the street and why it's a fun place to visit if you're in town. You'll even see the bus tunnel used to connect the East Side of Providence to Downtown only available the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority. My final stop was at one of my favorite Mediterranean eateries, East Side Pockets, where I needed to get my combo wrap, an amazingly tasty combination of chicken kabob and falafel with all of the vegetable fixings and sauces.
