Ford Mustang Gen2 S550 Coyote Engine Stand Alone Using Ford ECU and Canbus Interface Module

We now have the Mustang Coyote S550 engine running stand-alone using the Mustang engine ECU with standard (OEM) tune without any fault codes (PATS removed). This approach removes the need to go to an aftermarket ECU or use the Ford Performance wiring/ECU pack and allows factory systems to function such as OBDII compliance, cruise control and air-conditioning as well as interfacing to external devices such as gauges and other factory functions such as drive modes. AGT Engineering will soon provide stand-alone harnesses for these engines with our purpose-built fuse/relay/connection box and our new Canbus Interface module that allows Coyote Canbus to integrate to older non-Canbus signals such as dash indicators and gauges. Canbus Interface modules will be available early 2023 for not only Mustang Coyote, but also Ford Falcon (Barra), GM gen4/5 and various Subaru models. Stay tuned.
