This is a render comparison with settings and times for Eevee, Cycles, AMD Radeon ProRender and Luxcore Renderer. The purpose of this test was to see the way that glass and metals, which many times will complicate render times of a scene, are rendered using each engine. Although they are not 1:1 comparisons as that would take very long to do, these provide a good idea of what it is like in each engine. Please keep in mind: this is not a benchmark test- this is a comparison between engines on how they handle caustics, noise levels, realism and attempts to match them visually as close as possible without spending too much time. Please note that each engine has its positives and negatives whether it's speed, accuracy or options. Luxcore for example has a very complex dispersion system for glass and very advanced node materials. Eevee, I think, gets outshined in final quality in these renders, but that can't be blamed too much on the engine since it is primarily a raster engine.
