Join Science Specialist Stena for an interactive, Facebook LIVE lesson to build your own intertidal sea creature. Gather up the supplies below beforehand and build your own sea creature! Suggested supplies: A handful of craft supplies - anything will do! In this lesson we will learn about the struggle beach creatures have living in the intertidal zone (What's the intertidal zone you ask? We will learn about that too). After learning about what adaptations animals have for surviving on the beach, students are invited to engineer their own sea creature using everyday materials. -- We are in this together! Every week, Harbor WildWatch will offer three free, educational videos. These videos will be a combination of livestreams and pre-recorded workshops that explore our natural environment, provide STEM learning opportunities, and offer activity ideas for at-home learning. Tune into our Facebook and YouTube channels on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to catch our biologists providing fun educational videos for all ages. Note that a Facebook account is not required to view any videos on Facebook. On Thursdays we are live with the Too Cool For School Facebook group, developed as a global resource for parents experiencing school closures due to COVID-19.
